A 18-year-old man has been charged with murder after a fatal stabbing in east London.
David Martinez, 26, was stabbed in his chest, back and legs inside a flat in Leyton earlier this week.
Witnesses said the bare-footed victim ran “screaming” from the building before collapsing on the pavement in North Birkbeck Road at about 4.30pm on Wednesday.
Carlos Rueda Velez, of North Birkbeck Road, was charged with murder on Saturday.
He will appear at Thames Magistrates' Court later today.
Police and London Ambulance Service scrambled to the scene following reports of a stabbing and found Mr Martinez suffering injuries.
He was pronounced dead at the scene 40 minutes later.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command continue to investigate the circumstances.
