SCOTLAND midfielder Lewis Ferguson is desperate to make history by winning the Coppa Italia for Bologna for the first time in 51 years next week, despite his frustrating season.
The former Aberdeen and Hamilton Accies midfielder will line up in Rome a week today for the final of Italian football's showpiece tournament against AC Milan.
By coincidence, they also face AC Milan at the San Siro at the weekend ahead of the final.

But Ferguson admits he's not enjoyed his best season because of a series of stop-start setbacks.
He said: "This hasn't been an easy season for me, I've had a lot of injuries, but now I'm fine and I feel almost 100 per cent.
"I don't think it makes any difference that we have to play AC Milan twice in a few days.
"There is an important final ahead of us, but now we only think about Milan in the league. The match at San Siro will be an important match for the league standings.
"Only when that is over will we begin to think about the Coppa Italia.
"This season, I have been playing deeper in midfield, which doesn't worry me because I played that role for many years before I came to Bologna.
"We are still very much in the race for a Champions League place and we still have the final to come, so it's a great way to end the season for me."
