Lewis Capaldi reveals why collaboration with Niall Horan did not make his second album

Lewis Capaldi did not mince his words when speaking about why he decided to axe a collaboration with Niall Horan from his new album, saying it was “s**t”.

The Scottish singer, 26, and the former One Direction star, 29, are great friends in real life and secretly recorded a track intended for Capaldi’s second album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, but it didn’t make the cut.

“We wrote a song and it was not good. Yeah, it was f***ing s**t. He wrote most of it,” the Before You Go hit-maker said in comments reported in The Sun.

He also admitted that he has his eyes on making music with another 1D star — Harry Styles.

Explaining why he’s keen to work with Styles, who he shared a kiss with at this year’ Brit Awards, he said: “I am a big fan. He is really like a successful singer. Probably the biggest in the world at the moment and he is f***ing super-sexy.”

Another person he would like to tick off his dream collaborations list is Paolo Nutini.

He said: “He is my dream. He is an elusive man. He will just disappear for seven years. So trying to get him and pin him down . . . he is slippery.”
