'Where is Paolo Nutini?' Lewis Capaldi and Niall Horan launch online appeal for comeback

Last night singing sensation Lewis Capaldi took to Twitter to ask fellow Scots star Paolo Nutini to return to the music scene.

In a tweet which received over 102,000 likes, Lewis demanded to know where the Iron Sky star is.

He said: "Right enough's enough - where the f**k is Paolo Nutini?"

One Direction star Niall Horan also chimed in on the tweet, replying: "I want answers".

And fans agreed with the pair and are calling for Paolo, who last released music in 2014, to make an epic comeback.

One said: "You and him would make a great album together, both of you have a great talent!"

Another added: "Finally someone asking the important questions!! I miss him."

One wrote: "He’s perched outside in the pouring rain."

While one shockingly said: "Who is that? Should I know who this is?"

After receiving thousands of comments, 'Paolo Nutini' started trending on Twitter to which Lewis once again posted: "the people want answers".

The Pencil Full of Lead singer has not been seen since he surprised punters in two Glasgow bars with impromtu gigs last year.

He performed in Paisley pub 'Harvies Bar' last February and treated locals to a rendition of Frank Sinatra's 'I've Got You Under My Skin'.

He then held a second gig in Celtic pub St Vincents where a video of him singing 'You'll never walk along' went viral online last June, but he has been off the radar since.

Paolo Nutini shot to fame in 2006 when his album These Streets - including singles Jenny Don't Be Hasty and New Shoes - peaked at number three in the UK charts.

Since then, the Paisley star has gone on to become one of Scotland's most recognised and best-loved artists, topping the bill at festivals like T in the Park and Glastonbury.

Following this social media manhunt, bookies have priced up where and he will be found.

Paddy Power make it odds-on at 1/2 that the Scottish singer replies to Lewis Capaldi on Twitter with his location – and just 6/4 that the pair decide to release a duet in 2020.

And, it’s rated odds-on at 1/3 that the next public sighting of him is while he’s watching his football team, Celtic.
