For a time, Leo Baxendale was the secretary of the Scottish council of CND (I was assistant secretary). Leo’s involvement in this role went beyond the mere routine of regular administrative business. He was constantly looking for innovative and creative ways of campaigning. This included making use of his own artistic talents to illustrate leaflets.
While these may not be as exciting as his work in the Beano or Wham!, they are nevertheless significant. His CND work is preserved in the archives of Glasgow Caledonian University.
