Duncan Campbell first ventured into journalism aged eight, in 1952-53. At Edinburgh academy he and I created, co-edited and produced the Class Four Magazine, a mixture of news, feature pieces and cartoons. There was only a single copy of each edition – bound with split pin brass paper fasteners. The back page was reserved for “Readers’ Comments”.
