Les Dennis 'forgives' Amanda Holden as he shares update after bitter split

Les Dennis has admitted he has forgiven Amanda Holden.

The 69-year-old from Liverpool married the Britain's Got Talent judge in 1995. Their romance regularly made the headlines and ended in difficult circumstances after Amanda had an affair Neil Morrisey.

Les has told the Sunday Times he has completely moved on from the relationship. He said: "All the hurt that has happened has been healed.”

The Family Fortunes host said he harbours no hard feelings towards his ex-wife, who he praised for saying "nice" things about him recently. He said: "We’re not in touch but I am happy that she’s happy."

Les added: "I can watch Britain’s Got Talent without getting angry. To be honest it’s like watching a different person, someone I’ve never met.”

Amanda has previously said it was her ex-husband who got her through the period after their split. She told the Daily Mail: "Les proved to be my saviour. Ironically. So the person I’d hurt the most in the world was the one who was there for me.

“It was a very dark time. It got to the point where I felt I could hardly breathe.” She added: “I brought it on myself, I appreciate that, but nothing will ever be as bad again.”

Les is now happily married to Claire Heseltine and they share two children.
