Ireland's Leona Maguire and England's Charley Hull could not have asked for better starts at the Meijer LPGA Classic, both carding seven-under 65 to nab a share of the opening round lead in Michigan.
Maguire carded four birdies on the front nine and three on the back, while Hull, starting on the back nine, picked up two birdies and two eagles to head into the turn at six under.
A bogey on the fifth did little to derail her momentum as she went on to birdie two of her last three holes to join Maguire one shot clear at the top, alongside Japan's Nasa Hataoka and America's Lauren Stephenson.
England's Georgia Hall is three shots back after mixing seven birdies with three bogeys, while compatriot Jodi Ewart Shadoff is tied for 38th on three under.
