Leigh Griffiths post Celtic Premiership return chances shut down with 'don't have a budget' quip

Leigh Griffiths has been spotted training with Scottish Premiership side Livingston as the Celtic Invincible looks to get his career back on track.

The former Scotland international spent some time with Australian lower league side Mandurah City over the summer in a bid to win suitors in the A-League, but is already back where he spent some time training earlier this year. Griffiths started his career in West Lothian before scoring over 100 goals for Celtic alongside stints at Hibs and Wolves.

He left Parkhead for a second spell at Dundee last season but it went awry and Griffiths ended the campaign with a disappointing stint in League One with Falkirk. Livingston manager David Martindale, however, has admitted that he can't afford to sign someone like the 30-year-old. He said: "I am trying to help him out. Everybody knows my history and Leigh's history is nowhere near mine but he needs a chance and I am here to help him.
