Leicester City 0-1 Newcastle - Podcast reaction to a superb victory at the King Power

Ayoze Perez scored the only goal of the game as Newcastle United beat Leicester City 1-0 at the King Power Stadium.

The victory all but secured United's status in the Premier League for next year with Cardiff City, in 18th, now 10 points below them.

Perez's first half header was enough to secure all three points, although it could have been a lot easier for the Magpies as Salomon Rondon hit the bar with a free-kick, and Perez forced Kasper Schmeichel into a second half save.

United players applauded the fans who remained long after the final whistle singing support for their club, and the achievement of safety.

Focus will now turn to Rafa Benitez's future, and whether owner Mike Ashley can persuade him to sign up for a new contract at Newcastle.

Chronicle Live's chief sports writer Lee Ryder and NUFC writer Chris Waugh bring you the immediate reaction from the ground via The Everything is Black and White Podcast.
