Legendary Scots diner hosts third film shoot in nine months as bosses tease 'biggest ever' production

A legendary Scots diner is hosting its third film production in nine months as bosses tease it could be their 'biggest ever'.

Mystery filming has been seen taking place at The Horn Milk Bar in Errol, Perthshire, and has been closed to the public during the first two days of September to make way for production crews.

Owners have signed a non-disclosure agreement, meaning they can't reveal which blockbuster is currently being filmed in the area, but owner Kenny Farquharson has hinted it'll be worth the wait.

He told the Record: "This is our third film shoot in nine months, which is pretty cool for a small family business.

"We have just closed this week for two days to the public to host another filming project.

"All we can say at this point is that it disnae get any more professional or larger than this….

"Cast and crew were superb to work with and it was great to see all the action scenes which included stunt doubles.

"The weather was perfect for exterior and interior shots and the famous cow on the roof of The Horn features in the filming."

The retro diner provided the back drop for some of Sorcha Bacon's short film, Pram Snatcher, last year.

It was also seen in A90, Olivia J. Middleton's short crime film set over the course of one night in 1994, released earlier this year.

Home of the 'World’s Best Bacon Roll', the family business has featured in various TV shows too over the years and was subject of BBC Radio Scotland's 'Our Story' released an episode about the eatery in 2019 called 'The Story of The Horn' narrated by Mark Stephen.
