A number of Manchester United supporters have hailed Cristiano Ronaldo after confirming that he is looking forward to working with new manager Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.
After failing to qualify for next season's Champions League, speculation concerning Ronaldo's future has been rife, with it being predicted by many that he would leave the club. However, he appears to have suggested that he has no plans to leave United this summer.
He returned to the club from Juventus almost 12 months ago and was United's shining light in a season of misery, notching 24 goals in all competitions. He single handedly dragged the Reds out of their Champions League group and netted important hat-tricks in the Premier League against Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur.

"I was happy of course, to be back in a club that really raised my career so it was unbelievable, the feeling when I came back again, it was nice to feel the supporters, the happiness of them was great," said Ronaldo. "I was and still am very happy to be here.
"And what I have to say to the fans is they are amazing even when you lost games they always support us, they always are with us, the supporters are always in my heart and it's the people that we all should respect because they are always on our side.
"For me, the most important thing is to try to win the games and try to win some championship or some cup but I believe that Manchester will be where they belong. As I say before, sometimes it takes time but I still believe."
On working with Ten Hag, the Portuguese ace added: "I know he did a fantastic job for Ajax and that he's an experienced coach but we need to give him time and things need to change the way he wants. I hope we have success of course because if you have success all of Manchester are going to have success as well. So I wish him the best.
"We are happy and excited, not only the players but the supporters as well. I wish him the best and let's believe that next year we're going to win trophies."
Ronaldo's comments confirming that he is relishing working with the Dutchman have only fuelled the levels of optimism that he will stay at the club this summer. Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of United's fans have had to say.
As you can see from the messages displayed above, United's supporters are delighted with Ronaldo's mentality and commitment to the cause. He is set to be involved within Ten Hag's plans next season, with the Dutchman recently insisting that he will bring "goals" to his team.
The 37-year-old's experience could be vitally important next season, particularly if Ten Hag looks to develop some of the club's younger players. However, the Reds are still set to remain in the market for a new striker this summer.
