Leeds United transfer rumours: Victor Orta development, Glen Kamara eyed, Ben White price tag

Leeds United's comfortable win over high-flying Aston Villa on Friday evening means the club's supporters can have a fantastic week.

The Whites were excellent, and ended Villa's perfect start in the Premier League, courtesy of a Patrick Bamford hat-trick.

Marcelo Bielsa 's side have started the season in great fashion, helped of course by the club's busy summer transfer window.

Now, we're getting closer to the January window, and here we have gathered the very latest Leeds-related transfer stories.

Orta set for Leeds stay

Leeds' Director of Football, Victor Orta, is set to stay at Elland Road, with Roma closing in on someone else.

Orta had been linked with a move to the Italian side, following his impressive work at the new Premier League side, in terms of recruitment.

Roma are now edging towards appointing Michael Emenalo as their new sporting director, according to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport.

The Yorkshire-based club have been firm in their stance that Orta will not be moving away from the side after such a successful spell.

Leeds want Rangers midfielder

Premier League trio; Leeds, Southampton and Everton are both interested in signing highly-rated Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara, according to Team Talk, per via TBR Football.

The Finland star has been an ever-present figure in Steven Gerrard's team since arriving at Ibrox in January 2019.

The report claims that all three of the top-flight sides have all checked on Kamara since the summer transfer window ended.

However, they could face some stern competition for the 24-year-old, with Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Lille also keen on his services.

Potter speaks on White

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Graham Potter does not know anything about Ben White's reported £50m price-tag.

White - who spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Leeds from the Seagulls - is now playing in the Premier League, but down on the south coast.

Last week, it was reported that the 23-year-old would only be allowed to leave the Amex Stadium if another club offered at least £50m for his services, amid Leeds and Liverpool links.

However, speaking to the Mirror, Potter denied this: "I haven't heard anything about that (the £50m valuation). Apparently if it comes from the media, it must be true, eh?"
