Leeds United transfer rumours: Florentino Luis blow, Ryan Kent bid, Ben White latest

Leeds United just have a few more weeks to wait for their return to the Premier League and there is still plenty of time for transfer business to be concluded.

Marcelo Bielsa has already secured a number of new additions ahead of the top-flight campaign and is pushing to land further additions.

A wealth of names are being linked with a move to Elland Road and, with the window due to close on October 5, there could be plenty of twists and turns.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest snippets surrounding the Whites.

Florentino Luis blow

Florentino Luis will not be leaving Benfica this summer amid interest from Leeds United and others, the Portuguese side's general director has stated.

Leeds, along with AC Milan and Fulham, have been linked with a £25m move but Tiago Pinto has stated he will not leave.

“Florentino is a young man with potential and quality, I believe he will stay, to play for Benfica. Will he go to Milan this summer? I do not think so.”

Ryan Kent bid

Leeds United are set to make a surprise bid for Rangers winger Ryan Kent as they look to bolster their side for the return to the Premier League, according to the Sun.

Marcelo Bielsa is keen on the former Liverpool, who he attempted to sign twice during his time at Anfield, and will reportedly lodge an offer for his services.

Leeds are set to lodge an offer of around £10m to sign the winger from the Scottish side, though that may not be enough to persuade Steven Gerrard's side into a deal.

'Brick wall' in Ben White hunt

Leeds United have not given up on signing Ben White from Brighton but have 'hit a brick wall' in their pursuit.

According to the Mirror's David Anderson, Brighton are standing firm in their stance that the 22-year-old will not be leaving the AMEX Stadium.

While Marcelo Bielsa's side are not closing the door on a signing if Brighton's position changes, they're now pursuing other targets in the centre of defence.
