Leeds United's Crysencio Summerville started as the Netherlands U21 side salvaged a draw against Portugal which left their hopes of advancing in the Euro U21 Championship pointed on a knife-edge. Summerville played 69 minutes as the Netherlands were held 1-1 by the bottom side in Group A, with that point the first Portugal had earned in the competition.
Andre Almeida, who plays for Spanish La Liga side Valencia, put Portugal in front after only 20 minutes in Tbilisi, but Ajax striker Brian Brobbey levelled 12 minutes from time. It means the Jong Oranje have now collected just two points from their two group games, having previously ground out a goalless draw against Belgium, and sit third in their four-team group - level on points with second-placed Belgium but behind them on goals-scored - from which only the top two sides qualify.
Their final group fixture pits them against leaders - and co-hosts - Georgia on Tuesday, when only a win would guarantee them a place in the knock-out atage. A defeat would see the Netherlands exit the tournament, while a draw would leave their chances of progressing dependent on the outcome of Belgium's final game against Portugal.

Going into that final round of group fixtures, all four teams still have a chance of advancing. Summerville has been linked with a move away from Leeds this summer following the club's relegation from the Premier League, but said this week that he is focusing solely on this tournament.
He told Dutch outlet NOS: "I see and read a few things here and there, but I'm focusing on this tournament. "I also deliberately asked my agent not to give that information to me until after the European Championships.
"We can take a prize, we'll see the rest later."
