Leeds United see another Premier League rival change boss as Newcastle confirm Steve Bruce exit

Steve Bruce has become the second Premier League manager to leave his post this season after Newcastle United have today confirmed his departure.

The writing seemed to be on the wall for the 60-year-old considering the Magpies’ position in the table as well as the recent takeover.

The club have also confirmed that his assistant, Graeme Jones, will be deployed as interim head coach in the meantime until they appoint a new manager.

This means that two of Leeds United's rivals near the bottom of the table have now made managerial alterations in response to their poor early-season form.

Unsurprisingly, Watford were the first team to enforce change in the technical area as they replaced Xisco Muñoz with Claudio Ranieri after just seven matches.

Despite Leeds finding themselves between the two aforementioned Premier League sides, Marcelo Bielsa’s position as manager at Elland Road remains extremely stable.

The injuries he has had to contend with already this season have made a tough start to the season even more complex but fears of relegation are still few and far between around the club at the moment.

With Kalvin Phillips, Raphinha and Patrick Bamford all to come back into the team in the next couple of weeks, fans are largely confident that results will pick up for the Whites.

Next up in the Premier League for Leeds is an Elland Road clash against Wolves before a visit to Norwich City on Halloween.
