Leeds United news as Gabby Agbonlahor sends 'favourable' Leicester City verdict amid Whites relegation claim

Here are your latest Leeds United morning headlines for Thursday, April 27.

Agbonlahor sends 'favourable' Leicester City verdict amid Leeds United relegation claim

Gabriel Agbonlahor has tipped Leicester City to survive relegation over Leeds United at the end of the season.

The two sides drew 1-1 at Elland Road on Tuesday night after Luis Sinisterra's 20th minute header was cancelled out by Jamie Vardy's equaliser 10 minutes from time.

Nottingham Forest's 3-1 victory over Brighton has sucked Leicester back into the relegation zone, and sent Leeds to within one-point of danger.

Although Leeds currently sit two places and one-point above the Foxes, Agbonlahor expects Javi Gracia's side to face the drop due to Leicester having a more "favourable" run-in.

"I have Southampton bottom, then Forest, then Leeds," Agbonlahor told talkSPORT. "I just look at Leeds, the amount of goals they concede. They've conceded 63 goals this season, joint with Bournemouth, no clean sheets since 25th February, it's been 10 games.

"Their next game is Bournemouth away. Bournemouth look strong. Then it's Man City away, Newcastle at home, West Ham away, Tottenham at home. That's three points at home against Spurs because they'll be on the beach probably. But you look at that and I don't think they'll get enough points.

"Then you look at Leicester, Everton at home I think they can win that one, Fulham away, they look like they are on the beach, so that's two wins for Leicester. Liverpool at home, they could get a draw, Newcastle away you would say they will lose and then West Ham at home so I think Leicester's fixtures are more favourable than Leeds."

Javi Gracia's Illan Meslier 'ups-and-downs' admission after bounce-back Leicester performance

Leeds United Javi Gracia has highlighted the 'ups-and-downs' his goalkeeper Illan Meslier has gone through after his performance against Leicester last night.

After conceding 18 goals across his previous five matches, the Frenchman came up with a big display against the Foxes, including a big double save that stopped Dean Smith's side from winning the match late on.

While many have been on the back of Meslier including both fans and pundits, including calls to replace him with Joel Robles for the rest of the season, the Leeds boss has stuck by his side.

Jack Harrison's rallying cry as he makes Leeds United demand for final five matches

Jack Harrison insists Leeds United have "100% belief" that they can avoid relegation from the Premier League at the end of the season.

Leeds ended a run of three straight defeats by drawing 1-1 against Leicester City at Elland Road on Tuesday night. That draws puts them two places and two points above the relegation zone prior to the rest of the midweek matches amid a full Premier League schedule.

Javi Gracia's men travel to fellow relegation rivals Bournemouth in their next outing, but face a difficult run-in with the likes of Manchester City, Newcastle and Tottenham still to play.
