Valentin Castellanos believes now is the time to make his move to Europe after impressing in the MLS. The New York City striker is one of a number of forwards linked with a move to Leeds United this summer.

Castellanos scored 23 times during 2021 and has hit the back of the net 16 times so far in 2022. His performances in the MLS have caught the eye of Premier League scouts with Leeds, Newcastle United and Everton reportedly keen on the forward.

Speaking to TUDN , the Argentina U23’s international, who helped fire New York City to MLS Cup glory last season and is on track to finish as the top scorer in the competition this season, said he is ready to fulfil his ‘dream’ of playing in Europe.

Bookies predict another tough season for Leeds

The bookmakers are predicting another season of struggle for Leeds United despite an impressive start to the transfer window. The Whites have so far brought in six players after losing Kalvin Phillips to Manchester City and Raphinha looks set to follow the Whites academy graduate on his way out the door.

Barcelona are reportedly on the verge of agreeing a £63million deal with Leeds for the Brazilian playmaker and Jesse Marsch's side will no doubt be looking to reinvest that money back into the squad. Jaap Stam decision paved way for Sinisterra’s Leeds move

Leeds United new boy Luis Sinisterra may have never reached the heights he has so far in his career were it not for a bold move from Jaap Stam. Dordrecht general manager Hans de Zeeuw claims that his side came close to signing Luis Sinisterra as part of their cooperation agreement with Feyenoord.

The Dutch second-tier side liked what they saw from Sinisterra in a pre-season friendly but Feyenoord boss Stam wanted to keep the winger a the club after also being impressed. The decision by the former Manchester United defender has paved the way for his move to Elland Road this summer after an impressive campaign in the Netherlands.

The Colombian scored 23 goals last season for Feyenoord, helping the club massively in their run to the Europa Conference League Finals, where they ultimately fell to Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
