Leeds United fans were not happy to see Rodrigo on the bench for their game against Everton this evening.
The summer signing has proved a popular figure among Whites fans this season but once again had to make do with a place on the bench after Marcelo Bielsa opted to name an unchanged side against the Toffees.
After a good performance against Arsenal last time out, in a match that saw Rodrigo appear off the bench, it perhaps is no surprise that Bielsa named an unchanged XI.
Yet fans were still disappointed to not see the 29-year-old start at Goodison Park.
Rodrigo did not start against Arsenal due to time missed from training and playing due to a positive coronavirus test prior to the international break earlier this month.
The Spain international featured for 45 minutes in Leeds' under-23s side on Monday but Bielsa opted to stick with Ezgjan Alioski following a strong performance against Arsenal.
Rodrigo put in a bright performance off the bench against the Gunners but Bielsa likely feels he needs more minutes under his belt before returning to the starting XI, meaning Alioski remains in the side, with Stuart Dallas retaining a midfield role.
Elsewhere, Illan Meslier continues in goal behind a back-four of Luke Ayling, Robin Koch, Liam Cooper and Alioski.
Kalvin Phillips plays in his usual holding midfield role, with Dallas and Mateusz Klich alongside him.
In attack, Raphinha makes his second start for the Whites after a full debut in the goalless draw with Arsenal.
Jack Harrison starts on the other flank, whilst Patrick Bamford leads the attack.
Rodrigo is on the bench along with Kiko Casilla, Helder Costa, Ian Poveda, Pascal Strujik and Leif Davis.
