Leeds United confirm first exit of transfer deadline day out of Elland Road

Leeds United have announced the permanent departure of right-back Bryce Hosannah four years after he arrived from Crystal Palace.

The 22-year-old has agreed a contract with National League side Wrexham, who are now under the ownership of Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

Hosannah was regularly involved on the fringes of Marcelo Bielsa’s squad across the past few years, but never made a senior, competitive appearance.

The right-back only signed a new contract at Elland Road last November while he was on loan with League Two Bradford City.

Red Dragons have confirmed Hosannah's signature on a two-year deal and a free transfer from the Whites.

Speaking to Wrexham's official website, Hosannah said: “It’s clear to everyone that knows about the club there is a project going on and the club’s ambition moving forward was something that really attracted me.

“I’ve had a number of conversations with the manager and the way he wants to play and the role he sees me having in the team is something that will work really well. I’m excited now to prove it on the pitch.

“The move happened quite quickly, but now I’m excited to get my first training session done and get going.”
