Leeds restaurant Stew and Oyster taken over by exciting SALT brewery

The former Stew and Oyster site on Roundhay Road is being transformed into SALT Oakwood after being taken over by new owners.

SALT are the team behind a brewery in Saltaire and they own three other sites in Leeds. These are SALT Leeds City, SALT Granary Wharfe and SALT Boston Spa.

The site is currently closed for a refurbishment with the team saying they will update people on its progress through social media. On the companies website they describe themselves as "tired of following tradition".

Instead, they say they "go where our brewing instincts take us".

In a statement on Instagram, @saltoakwood said: "We’re going through changes…

"If you’ve taken a wander down Oakwood Parade recently, you may have noticed we have closed for an exciting refurbishment.

"Make sure you’re following us on @saltoakwood to keep up to date over the coming weeks!”
