Leeds Met Office Thursday weather forecast as heatwave set to hit UK

As we edge closer to the heatwave predicated to hit the UK this week, many of us are keeping a close eye on the weather forecast hoping for the temperature to start rising.

Thankfully, it looks like the warm weather might finally be here, with a fine and dry day forecast for most of Yorkshire on Thursday.

According to the latest Met Office forecast any early mist or fog patches will soon clear to leave a mostly fine day, with bright or sunny spells for many. And the good news does not stop there: here in Yorkshire we can expect to feel warm in the sunshine, with only light winds forecast and highs of 18 °C.

More specifically, in Leeds, it will be sunny from the early morning. While conditions will change to cloudy at lunchtime, the afternoon will still be the warmest part of the day, with the temperature set to peak at 18°C. At its lowest, it will be 12°C, with the feel like temperature also dropping a couple of degrees cooler than the actual temperature at different points throughout the day.

Be aware that UV levels will rise from low to moderate from 9am, even as the humidity decreases throughout the day. The level will return to low exposure at 4pm. Pollen levels will also be high, but pollution levels will be low.

The sun is forecast to rise at 5.23am and set at 8.44pm.
