LeBron James uses face aging filter to make ‘load management’ joke

Although LeBron James is jumping on the latest viral trend hitting the internet with people everyone using a face filter to make themselves look aged, James’ joke may have had a semi-serious edge to it.

James joined some of his teammates, several other NBA players and much of your social network in uploading a photo of himself that was put through an aging filter. James then made a joke about ‘earning’ his load management nights, something he didn’t do much of until he suffered an injury last Christmas Day.

Load management will likely be a much larger part of LeBron’s upcoming season, especially in light of the ultimate success of Kawhi Leonard during the playoffs after skipping all of his back-to-backs and only playing in 60 of the available 82 games.

Leonard was the undisputed MVP of the playoffs, leading his Toronto Raptors to an NBA Championship as the 2019 Finals MVP. With Leonard just across the hall on the Clippers, James likely knows now more than ever that he needs as much as possible left in the tank for when the games matter most.
