LeBron James is back as “Ron,” an inconspicuous Blaze Pizza employee who just happens to be 6’8” and the size of Atlas, delivering surprise pizzas to locals on the streets of his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
Clips of the commercial and one particularly funny clip where a local either ignores or pretends to ignore James, but James released the full-length commercial earlier on Monday. James is a part owner of Blaze Pizza, a fast-casual pizza franchise that has locations all over the United States.
James filmed the commercial for Blaze Pizza when he made a trip to Ohio earlier this summer to see his I Promise school students as well as other students impacted by the LeBron James Family Foundation.
In addition to filming a commercial in his hometown and checking in on his students at the I Promise school, he also reunited with his high school teammates from St. Vincent-St. Mary’s, whose journey to a state championship in 2003 is documented in the movie “More Than A Game.”
