LeBron James' new Nike advert has NBA fans saying the same thing

LeBron James has released a new Nike advert after his 20th signature shoe as the 37-year-old prepares to celebrate his 20th year in the NBA before celebrating a 20th anniversary since signing for Nike.

James first joined the brand in 2003 when he became the first basketball player in history to sign a shoe deal before he had entered the NBA. Of course, Nike proved it was a smart move on their part to do so, with LeBron going on to become one of the greatest players in the history of the sport - as he remains playing at an elite level ahead of his 20th season - hoping to win a fifth NBA championship this upcoming year with the Los Angeles Lakers.

James has since signed a 'lifetime deal' with Nike, which was said to be worth around $1 billion and it was revealed earlier today that his son, Bronny, 18, has also signed with Nike.

James Sr has released a new shoe with Nike almost every year, and now his 20th shoe is coming out in a number of different colourways. And to promote the latest item of LeBron merchandise, a new advert has been released of James jumping in a pool with all his clothes on whilst wearing the shoes before he launches himself back out.

An impressive stunt on the face of it, however, it's clear to see that fans are not exactly convinced.

One Twitter responder said: "Because this isn't fake at all." Another tweeted: "This reminds me of when Kobe 'jumped over the Aston Martin' lol", as another said: "They could have at least edited the video correctly."

Whilst not an entirely convincing advert in terms of realism, the shoe will undoubtedly be popular worldwide.

James recently released a Liverpool FC edition of his LeBron 9's, with the NBA star owning a minority stake in the football club since 2011.
