LeBron James is rebuilding Beverly Hills house he purchased in 2020

LeBron James is one of the few people in the world whose wealth allows him to do virtually anything he wants, even if it’s on a whim.

He has lived in the Southland since joining the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018, and in 2020 he purchased a Beverly Hills house reportedly worth $36.8 million.

The house was once leased by legendary actress Audrey Hepburn, and prior to that, it had been purchased by billionaire Howard Hughes.

James has apparently demolished the house and is building anew. It could be a sign he wants to live in Los Angeles for a while, despite rumors he might leave the Lakers within the next year or so.

James has repeatedly said he wants to play alongside his son Bronny, who will become eligible for the NBA draft next year. It remains to be seen if the younger James, who has committed to playing his college ball at the University of Southern California, will actually be drafted in 2024 or even declare for the draft that year.
