Lebanese women hope they'll soon gain the right to pass on citizenship to their children, even if they are married to a foreigner.

But proposed changes to the nationality law exclude women married to Syrians or Palestinians.

Lebanon is one of two dozen mainly-Arab countries that do not give men and women equal rights when it comes to citizenship.
