Lebanon bathing suit row: Woman harassed at Sidon public beach

Feminists and human rights activists in Lebanon are speaking out against attempts to impose increasing restrictions on their lives in the name of "conservative values". This follows an attack on a woman at a beach in the southern city of Sidon, when an Islamic cleric and his followers told Mayssa Hanouni she didn't have the right to wear a bathing suit there before getting violent.

Iran has reopened its embassy in Saudi Arabia. The move comes following a thaw in relations between them brokered by China. The rapprochement between these two regional powerhouses has officials in the United States and Israel taking notice.

Also in this edition, tensions remain high in the West Bank town of Huwara. It has been longer than three months since Israeli settlers carried out what Israel's own defence officials have called actions of terror, with one general even labeling February's weekend of violence a "pogrom".
