Law firm BTO has recruited Stephen Humphreys as a consultant within its litigation department, with a special focus on social housing litigation.
He brings specialist knowledge in housing law and construction litigation, contentious insolvency and debt recovery litigation. He also has experience in managing significant Court of Session and Sheriff Court actions.
Humphrys will be working closely with property partner and head of BTO’s Social Housing team Karen Brodie, and litigation head Grant Hunter.
Hunter said: “Stephen’s expertise in social housing litigation was a particular attraction to us, including his broad knowledge of landlord/tenant disputes.”

BTO has offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Helensburgh, with 45 partners, two consultants and a further 70 solicitors.
