It has proven to be a busy day for Tottenham Hotspur as the transfer window draws to a close, with Christian Eriksen finally securing his switch to Inter Milan and midfielder Giovani Lo Celso joining on a permanent basis from Real Betis.
But despite it being a case of one in and one out at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday, you can be rest assured that Jose Mourinho will be desperate to add some more fresh faces to his squad, as Spurs look to try and fight their way back into the Champions League places.
Though Mourinho, who watched his Spurs side play out a 1-1 draw against Southampton in the FA Cup fourth-round at the weekend, will not have as big a war chest to play with as he did in his roles at Real Madrid and Manchester United, he will still be hoping to bolster his squad before Friday’s 11pm deadline.
Here, we round up the day’s latest Tottenham transfer news.
Spurs agree deal for Milan striker
Tottenham have reached an agreement with AC Milan to sign Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek for a fee believed to be €28m.
According to CorSport, Spurs have struck a deal with the San Siro club to land the forward, though one issue remains in the way.
It is claimed that Spurs want to exchange a player as part of the deal in a bid to bring the transfer fee down, but Milan are not keen on that idea.
Defender in-line for loan exit
Kyle Walker-Peters is close to joining fellow Premier League club Southampton on loan for the rest of the campaign, says PA journalist Simon Peach.

Walker-Peters, 22, is desperately on the search for more minutes at first-team level and it is thought that he has a great chance of getting exactly that at St Mary’s, should Cedric Soares leave before the window slams shut.
Any loan deal to take Walker-Peters to the South Coast would not feature an option to make the move permanent in the summer.
Tottenham join Can chase
Spurs have joined a growing list of clubs interested in signing Juventus midfielder Emre Can.
The Germany international, who made the switch to Juventus from Liverpool back in the summer of 2018, has been limited to game-time under Maurizio Sarri, making just eight appearances in all competitions.
According to TEAMtalk, Spurs would have to stump up around £21m to land Can, with Borussia Dortmund believed to be leading the race.
