James Tarkowski and Nathan Ake are the two favourites to sign for Newcastle United after Eddie Howe's appointment.
The 43-year-old signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at St James' Park ending three weeks of speculation following Steve Bruce's departure.
The Toon boss left the Magpies new hierarchy "incredibly impressed" after a rigorous interview process.
According to Betfair, Manchester City defender Ake could reunite with Howe at St. James' Park in January.
Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho have also been heavily linked with a move to Tyneside.
The likes of Tarkowski and Jesse Lingard could also make their way to St. James' Park with the Burnley defender expected to leave Turk Moor ahead of his contract expiring this summer.
