Latest Arsenal transfer rumours: Ceballos' decision, triple deal advised, van Persie claim

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta faces a huge summer transfer window once the season ends, with the Spaniard set to take charge of his first full campaign at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta himself admitted the club are in a 'process of uncertainty' at the moment, after effectively inheriting a squad from former manager Unai Emery.

A lot of the squad are likely to be moved on in the summer, and the Gunners have been linked with a whole host of players as well.

With that being said, here are the latest Arsenal related transfer rumours.

Ceballos to make loan decision

Arsenal’s on-loan midfielder Dani Ceballos is set to ask his parent club, Real Madrid, if he can extend his temporary deal at the Emirates, according to El Confidencial.

The Spanish publication says that the Gunners are short on funds ahead of the upcoming transfer window and another loan move for Ceballos could be the case.

There is also interest in Ceballos from Spanish clubs, and the midfielder wants assurances of regular football in an attempt to get into the Spain Euro 2020 squad next summer.

The 23-year-old wants to stay at Arsenal, though, according to the outlet, and he will speak with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to convince him.

Arsenal urged to sign trio by club legend

Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams has urged his old club to make three new signings in the upcoming transfer window to reach the Champions League once again.

Adams wants Arteta to sign two central defenders and one commanding midfielder to make his ex-side a 'top-four team' again.

The Gunners are unable to reach the top-four this season, with just two games remaining, as Arteta’s side sit tenth in the Premier League.

Adams told Stadium Astro: “I still think they need a couple of defenders, a couple of real tough defenders, then a Gilberto Silva or a Patrick Vieira or a Emmanuel Petit right in front and I think they’ve got a top-four team.”

Van Persie makes shock Arsenal transfer claim

Former Arsenal striker Robin van Persie believes his old side do not necessarily need to sign any more players in the upcoming summer transfer window.

When asked if Arteta needs to be provided with big funds by the Gunners' board following the side’s 2-0 win over Manchester City, the Dutchman told BT Sport: “Yes and no.

“I’m not a big believer in just spending big because everyone says so. I think he should, like he just mentioned in his interview, give credit to the players who did it.

“They did it, of course they are doing it together, but from the coach’s point of view, he should look at the players who are performing really well and don’t just buy a big star in that position because everyone wants to see a big signing or whatever.”
