Footage of a speeding motorcycle rider shows the woman nodding at a police officer's road safety advice after he pulled her over on the Monaro Highway.
Police stopped the 22-year-old rider after she was seen accelerating quickly while merging from Pialligo Avenue on to the Monaro Highway.
In a video released by ACT Policing, the black Yamaha R3 is seen to be exceeding the speed limit by more than 60kmh on the highway about 10pm on Wednesday, July 15.
The rider, recorded travelling at 153 kmh in a 90 kmh zone, was fined $1840, received six demerit points, and her licence was instantly suspended for six months.
The responding officer's body camera showed him talking to the woman about motorbikes and speeding before the rider was picked up from the scene.
"Look, I ride the motorbikes at work as well. I get it, but time and a place. Public roads is not the time nor the place," the police officer said.
The interaction follows another speeding incident earlier this month when a P-plater accepted he was going to "100 per cent" lose his licence.
