(Reuters) - West Ham United left back Aaron Cresswell scored a late goal to extend their unbeaten Premier League run to six games with a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

West Ham broke the deadlock in the 10th minute after stunning centre-forward play from Sebastian Haller, who controlled a diagonal pass in the box before teeing up Andriy Yarmolenko to curl a left-foot shot into the far corner.

It was Yarmolenko's third goal in his last four league appearances for West Ham after an injury-blighted first campaign at London Stadium last term.

Bournemouth continued to dominate possession and equalised through Josh King seven minutes later after a lengthy VAR review.

Nathan Ake was ruled offside in the build-up by the linesman but VAR overturned the decision, much to the home fans' delight.

Bournemouth moved 2-1 up 27 seconds after the interval, with striker Callum Wilson driving a low shot past substitute goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez for his fifth league goal of the season.

Ake's effort was ruled out by another VAR review before Wilson spurned a great chance to make it 3-1 with less than 20 minutes to play.

But West Ham roared back as Cresswell volleyed home to deny Bournemouth a third straight Premier League victory.

Having failed to score at all in the 2018-19 campaign, Cresswell now has two goals in a week after securing last Sunday's win over Manchester United with a fine free kick.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini was pleased with a much-improved performance after Wednesday's humiliating 4-0 defeat at Oxford United in the League Cup.

"I don't feel disappointed that we didn't win, it was a good game and we played in a good way - the way I like - trying hard from the first minute," Pellegrini said.

"It is good to come back. We were calm and always created options in attack."

Bournemouth, seventh in the league with 11 points, have been clinical in front of goal with 13 goals in seven league matches but are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

"It's hard to know what my emotions are after that. We had an opportunity to make it 3-1, we were dominant at that point even though the game was end-to-end," Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said.

"But credit to West Ham, they scored and it's two points dropped. Defensively there are things to improve on, we need to keep a clean sheet."
