Last One Laughing UK was a huge hit for Prime Video when it landed on our screens in March.
Hosted by Jimmy Carr, and adapted from Japanese show Documental, LOL sees 10 comedians locked in a room, with whoever survives the longest without cracking a smile crowned the winner.
The show has versions in over 20 countries, with hosts including Graham Norton in Ireland, Rebel Wilson in Australia, and Trevor Noah in South Africa.
The first UK series saw Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Harriet Kemsley, Joe Lycett, Joe Wilkinson, Judi Love, Lou Sanders, Rob Beckett, Sara Pascoe, and Richard Ayoade take part, with Mortimer emerging victorious.
Last One Laughing will return in early 2026 with a new batch of contestants – and one old favourite returning. Let’s meet the comedians.
Alan Carr

Fresh from his Celebrity Traitors victory, Alan Carr is a fully fledged national treasure.
The long-time Chatty Man host, Alan has more recently been on our screens hosting Interior Design Masters and as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
Despite his Traitors success, we don't have too much confidence in him being able to stifle laughter here, given his fits of giggles in the castle.
Amy Gledhill

A relative newcomer, Amy rose to fame on the comedy circuit, and won the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show in 2024.
She has appeared on Would I Lie To You?, and hosts hit podcasts Northern News and Single Ladies In Your Area.
Amy is also an actor, with an upcoming role in Harlan Coben series Run Away. Will her acting chops give her a good game face on the show?
Bob Mortimer

After winning series one, bonafide national treasure Bob Mortimer will return to defend his crown – and will surely be the favourite.
One half of legendary double act Reeves and Mortimer, and co-host of BBC smash hit Gone Fishing, Bob has rarely been off our screens for the past 40 years.
Bob is also a published novelist, having released three books in the past three years.
David Mitchell

Best known for Peep Show, David has been a staple on our screens for over 20 years, with appearances on most of the panel shows, as well as regular collaborations with comedy partner Robert Webb.
He has a pretty good straight face, but regular Would I Lie To You? viewers will know that this is often broken by… Bob Mortimer.
Diane Morgan

A queen of comedy, Diane is best known for her roles in Motherland, Afterlife, and for portraying the dim-witted, ill-informed Philomena Cunk in a variety of BBC shows.
Given her dead-pan delivery and hilarious comic timing, Diane has a great chance to go far in series 2.
Gbsemisola Ikumelo

Gbsemisola may be less well known than some of her fellow contestants, but the Black Ops star should get people howling with laughter.
She won a BAFTA for her short Brain in Gear in 2020, and earned Best Female Comedy Performance from the Royal Television Society for her role in sketch show Famalam in 2021.
Maisie Adam

Star stand-up Maisie has been all over our tellies for the past few years, appearing on Live At The Apollo, A League Of Their Own and Mock the Week among many others.
Maisie most recently won the latest series of Channel 4 smash Taskmaster and she hosts the Big Kick Energy podcast with fellow comedian Suzie Ruffell.
Mel Giedroyc

Another Taskmaster alum, Mel has been on our TVs for decades, from co-hosting Light Lunch and The Great British Bake Off alongside Sue Perkins, to numerous panel show appearances.
Mel also famously enjoys a giggle, so while we can’t wait to see her here, we’re not sure how long she will last.
Romesh Ranganathan

It would probably be quicker to name the shows Romesh isn’t on at the moment. Appearing in The Weakest Link and Rob & Romesh Vs…, as well as his sitcoms Avoidance and Romantic Getaway, Romesh is rarely off our screens.
He also hosts multiple podcasts and a Radio 2 show. Known for his dead-pan approach to comedy, we reckon we could go far on series 2.
Sam Campbell

Aussie Sam won the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in 2022, and has been entertaining British audiences ever since.
Known for his wacky, surreal style, Sam won series 16 of Taskmaster in 2023. He is just weird enough to win Last One Laughing – if he doesn’t laugh at one of his own jokes along the way.
