Residents have until midnight tonight to comment on plans to bring in a 20mph zone in two neighbourhoods just north of Bristol.
South Gloucestershire Council is currently consulting on the scheme, aimed at improving road safety for school children, which would see a raft of traffic calming measures installed on two busy roads through Little Stoke and Stoke Lodge.
The authority also wants to introduce an extended 20mph zone covering the full length of Stoke Lane and the northern end of Little Stoke Lone, as well as all associated side roads.
A total of 28 roads are affected by the scheme, which aims to assist walking and cycling to schools.
There are half-a-dozen schools within the vicinity - Patchway Community School, Holy Family School, St Chads Patchway CE Primary School, Stoke Lodge Infants and Junior schools and Little Stoke Primary School - which means hundreds of youngsters have to navigate these busy roads on a daily basis.
The traffic calming measures, which includes speed bumps and new crossing points, are proposed along Little Stoke Lane and Stoke Lane.
The council says it intends to implement the proposals during the current financial year, subject to any comments received during the consultation.
Anyone interested in having a say on the scheme has until 11.59pm on Friday, June 14 to do so.
