Large haul of cannabis seized at Dublin Airport with help of detector dog Enzo

A large amount of cannabis was seized at Dublin Airport on Wednesday with the assistance of detector dog Enzo.

The cannabis weighed 8.9kg and has an estimated street value of €178,000. The illegal drugs were discovered during routine operations and were concealed in parcels described as ‘Vehicle Accessories and Kitchen Accessories’.

The parcels had arrived in air cargo consignments from the United States and were destined for addresses in Dublin. A Revenue spokeswoman said that investigations into the seizure are ongoing.
