Langston Galloway hit a 3-pointer for the Nets and the Clippers’ announcers had no idea who he was

If you’ve been paying attention to sports the past few weeks then you know COVID-19 is running through many leagues and causing lots of players to miss games lots of games.

That’s happening in the NBA where a number of teams have been signing guys to 10-day contracts to help while they’re missing players due to COVID protocols.

The Brooklyn Nets are one of those teams that have been hit hard as of late. They recently brought on Langston Galloway to a couple of 10-day contracts and the former Knick/Pelican/King/Piston/Sun has appeared in four games so far with his new team.

Last night he hit a 3-pointer against the Clippers and the announcers had no idea who he was:

Galloway appeared in 40 games last year for the Suns and played in two playoff games (for a total of 15 minutes) and has been in the league since starting 41 games for the Knicks in the 2014-15 season, so he’s been around.

But still, all of these roster moves can be tough to keep up with. Though I’d like to think NBA announcers would know who’s on both teams since it’s their job.

Twitter had reactions.
