Lanarkshire swimming pools forced to close

A popular Lanarkshire swimming facility has been forced to close this morning.

Both pools at Hamilton Water Palace are closed due to a heating problem.

A spokesman for South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture told Lanarkshire Live: "Due to heating issues both pools at Hamilton water palace will be closed this morning.

"The gym still remains open.

"With regards to swimming lessons, we will post an update at lunch time.

"We apologise for any inconvenience."
