Lanarkshire police searching for 13-year-old girl missing from home for over 24 hours

UPDATE: Lara has been found safe and well.

Police have launched an urgent appeal for a teenage girl who has been missing from her home in Lanarkshire overnight.

Lara Tomescu was last seen around 10am on Thursday, January 12, in the Loudon Street area of Strathaven.

The 13-year-old is described as 5ft 1ins tall with blonde hair. When she was last seen, Lara was wearing a black puffer jacket, black leggings, and Dr. Marten boots.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Anyone who may have seen Lara since this time, or who has any information which could be relevant is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 2984 of 12/01/2023."
