Lamar Jackson scored an incredible touchdown that didn’t count

If you need further reasons to drool over Lamar Jackson’s talent, you need to check out the almost-touchdown the Baltimore Ravens quarterback scored on Thursday night in a preseason win over the Green Bay Packers.

We say it was nearly a touchdown because the play was flagged for a penalty, but WOW. He dropped back, saw a hole, ran ahead, dodged one tackler, got some help with a block, hurdled another and found the end zone.

Alas. Flag on the play.

As you’ll hear the announcers say, they wanted Jackson to slide when he’s playing in a preseason game, and they’re probably right. But LOOK AT THIS!

Aaron Rodgers, who didn’t play in the game, even told Jackson to “slide a little bit” when they met up after the contest:

He’s also right. But then we would have been robbed of that highlight.
