Labour's Barry Gardiner asks Dominic Raab why he's sweating during heated clash live on air

Labour's Barry Gardiner asked Dominic Raab why he was sweating as they clashed live on air during analysis of the BBC's leadership debate.

While a snap YouGov poll of 1,322 viewers following the debate may have narrowly awarded victory to Mr Johnson by 52 per cent to 48 per cent, Mr Gardiner pulled no punches in his attack on Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Dominic Raab began the exchange by claiming there was "only one Prime Minister on stage".

Mr Gardiner shot back: "Well why are you sweating then, and I'm not?"

Mr Raab tried to interject with "because you're staring reality... and not answering basic questions"

However, the Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade continued: "You're supposed Prime Minister had no grasp of numbers tonight."

Mr Gardiner then unleashed a tirade against Boris Johnson.

"This is not a one nation Prime Minister, this is a one percent Prime Minister," he said.

"The top one percent of this nation has seen, in the last ten years, its income go up by 185 per cent.

"At the same time you've got 4 million children in poverty, how do you justify that Dominic?"

In the same YouGov snap poll after the debate, Mr Corbyn was judged the more trustworthy by a margin of 48 per cent to 38 per cent.

It comes as both parties look to ramp up campaigning efforts during the crucial final week of the general election
