Kym Marsh 'heartbroken' after shock Strictly dance-off as she's consoled by Graziano

Kym Marsh was "heartbroken" by Matt Goss' departure from Strictly Come Dancing, after she and Graziano Di Prima narrowly avoided being booted out of the show this weekend.

The Emmerdale actress, 46, won a dance-off against Matt and Nadiya Bychkova, who took to the floor with a Jive to Paul McCartney's take on Elvis's All Shook Up.

Kym and Graziano performed their Samba to Volare by Gipsy Kings and were deemed the best by the judges based of technical difficulty.

Sharing a snap of her cuddling up to Graziano, Kym told her fans: "What a heartbreaking dance-off to win tonight. Matt and Nadiya, you have been amazing, you are gorgeous people and we will miss you enormously.

"Thank you so much to everyone supporting #teammarshiano on our journey. We are having the most incredible fun and continue to be inspired by your support," she wrote.

After the dance off, the judges noted the improvement of both couples, but decided to save Kym.

"We will only grow from this experience and try to be better for you next week," she continued.

"It is such an enormous pleasure to explore the dances week by week and to entertain you. Please continue your love and support - we are endlessly grateful and truly humbled."

After Bros singer Matt was given marching orders, he shared an emotional goodbye with Tess Daly.

"It’s an extraordinary experience, I have been in America for 25 years. Thank you judges for your candour, you’ve helped me in many ways, my posture – Anton, I am more aware of it," he told judges.

"This lovely lady beside me, a world champion with all the patience. I am very honoured to have danced with you," he said.

Despite being sad to see Matt go, Strictly fans were outraged that Kym found herself in the bottom two.

"Kim should be nowhere near the dance off it’s another shocker," wrote one fan.

"Kym and Graziano [shocked face]. I knew it was going to be a shock who was in the bottom two but didn't think it would be them," another added.

"I didn't think Kym would be in the dance-off," said another. "I thought being at the top of that middle block would have been enough to get her through another week"

Next week, the contestants will front a BBC Centenary special to celebrate 100 years of the broadcasting corporation.
