Kylie Minogue just solved the holiday pedicure dilemma with the one look that goes with everything

Kylie Minogue is pictured with wavy hair whilst at the launch event for the Netflix documentary series 'Kylie', at Frameless on May 18, 2026 in London, England. .

Forget high-maintenance brights; Kylie Minogue's natural holiday pedicure is the relaxed look that’ll go with everything in your suitcase.

While the 2026 nail trends have ushered in an array of vibrant and timeless pedicure colours - from pops of watermelon-pink to the popular 'Picante' pedicure - we're instead planning to follow Kylie Minogue's lead and go back to basics for our summer pedicure. After all, a statement look is all well and good until you want to wear an equally bold outfit or just tire of the colour but find yourself a flight away from your local nail salon or at-home polish kit and thus, can't change it.

Minogue's own subtle, holiday pedicure solves that particular issue, offering something of a clean, blank canvas that will work with every sandal, style and setting, whilst still delivering a chic and trendy look.

For a hint of milky-pink colour and gel-like shine, this essie nail polish is a great pick for a subtle, 'your nails but better' sort of pedicure.

Recreate Kylie's pedicure

Whether you're layering it over another colour or wearing it on its own for just a natural but glossy effect, Digital Beauty Writer, Naomi Jamieson, swears by Manucurist's Sunshine top coat for a long-lasting, at-home pedicure.

If your nails aren't in the best shape but you still want that trendy, natural finish, Digital Beauty Editor, Fiona McKim, loves Chanel's La Base Camélia. It features nourishing ingredients like camellia oil to hydrate and fortify your nails, whilst affording a slightly rosy, shiny finish.

If you've been keeping up with this year's mani/pedi trends, you'll know that ultra-subtle finishes and a focus on nail health have been key themes. As a result, we've seen a rise in demand for strengthening sheer polishes, as well as condition-boosting treatments like the Japanese pedicure (and, of course, the manicure iteration too), for that matter. The latter features no polish, just the layering of nourishing ingredients and buffing, to reveal a glossy, au naturel shine.

This is exactly the sort of look the pop icon was sporting whilst on vacation, paired with some bright red flip-flops. The singer took to Instagram to share a carousel of snaps from her sunny getaway, and throughout, you could see her styling a very minimal pedicure with jeans and various accessories and tops. From what we can tell, she either had completely bare toes or was wearing a sheer pink polish, or just a clear top coat for a fresh but versatile effect.

Indeed, the beauty of a very subtle and natural-looking pedicure is that not only will it go with everything, from a summery dress to ripped blue jeans - as Minogue proves - but it's also a very forgiving and low-maintenance option.

Regrowth, for instance, will not look as obvious with a clear or tinted shade as it would with a burgundy pedicure, and the same goes for any chips or polish peeling. Plus, with understated nails becoming increasingly popular, just zhushing up your natural toes with a nail buffer or a quick clear coat will afford you a very trendy look - what's not to love?
