Kyle Walker missed Manchester City training with a back problem on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the Champions League final.

After claiming the FA Cup with victory over Manchester United on Saturday, City are on the cusp of clinching an historic treble, with Inter Milan standing in their way in Saturday's Champions League final in Istanbul.

Pep Guardiola has conceded he might select a different starting XI if given the chance to relive Manchester City's Champions League final defeat to Chelsea.

City are preparing for their second time on Europe's biggest stage when they take on Inter in the Champions League final on Saturday in Istanbul. With the Premier League title and FA Cup already secured, a win over the Italian giants will clinch a historic treble.

The Blues are the overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy, just as they were two years ago. But they left Porto empty handed having slipped to a shock 1-0 defeat thanks to Kai Havertz' winner.

Guardiola's honest answer on rival support for City in Champions League final

Pep Guardiola will not care about Manchester City's popularity when they start the Champions League final on Saturday.

The Blues are one game away from matching the achievement of the Manchester United team from 1999, becoming just the second side in English football to win the three biggest prizes on offer in a season. Having defeated United at Wembley to win the FA Cup, victory over Inter Milan in Istanbul will see them win the Champions League for the first time.

Despite being the only English team in the final, City may not be able to count on the support of the country when they take on Inter. In addition to anyone at United keen to preserve their record as unique, eight clubs tried to keep the Blues out of Europe before the Court of Arbitration for Sport reinstated them in 2020 and there is fresh bad blood over the Premier League charges City are facing.
