Kyle Lafferty 'rules out Hearts return' as former Rangers striker looks abroad

It's reported that Kyle Lafferty will not be returning to Hearts this month as he chooses to continue his career abroad.

The former Rangers striker had been linked with a return to Tynecastle after leaving Norwegian side Sarpsborg.

During his first spell with Hearts he scored 20 goals in 48 games before leaving for Ibrox for an ill-fated second spell.

According to the Edinburgh Evening News though Lafferty will not be opting to return to the Scottish Premiership as he looks to continue his career abroad.

The nomadic striker has had previous experiences in Europe, having played for FC Sion in Switzerland, Palermo in Italy and Caykur Rizespor in Turkey.

He has been capped 73 times for Northern Ireland and has 20 international goals, representing his country at Euro 2016.

Lafferty's second spell at Rangers lasted just one season in which he scored five times in 24 appearances after being signed for a reported £500,000.
