Kuzma drops 36 to spur Lakers to upset win over Thunder in OKC

Just when it looked like the Los Angeles Lakers had run out of luck on their current win-streak, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo and the remaining Lakers available for Saturday night’s game had other ideas as they won their eighth straight game despite missing their star players.

Kuzma had a game-high 36 points and seven rebounds to spur the Lakers to a dominant 125-110 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder without either their star players LeBron James and Anthony Davis, nor starting shooting guard Danny Green. But to win in a blowout fashion on the road, you need more than just one good performance and the Lakers got plenty on Saturday.

Rajon Rondo outplayed Chris Paul on the night as Rondo turned in easily his best game of the season with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. The Lakers also had four different players score in double-figures off the bench in Dwight Howard, Quinn Cook, Troy Daniels, and Alex Caruso.

The Lakers will now head back to Los Angeles for a two-game homestand against Orlando and Cleveland, feeling mighty good about sweeping back-to-back trip against two teams currently in the playoff picture.
