KSI snubs rival Jake Paul when naming three-fighter shortlist for next clash

KSI has snubbed Jake Paul in his list of potential opponents for his next fight after he takes on Bellator star Dillon Danis next month in London.

The undefeated YouTube boxer is on a collision course with the younger Paul brother after beating his elder sibling in the rematch of their 2018 draw, but is keen to get one more fight in before taking on his rival.

He is expected to beat Danis, who is 2-0 as a MMA fighter, but is better known for his grappling than boxing, and wants to compete again in the summer before an end-of-year fight.

He recently appeared on a stream with popular Twitch creator Kai Cennat, and listed a number of potential opponents for his second fight next year. He has previously indicated interest in facing former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, as well as unbeaten boxer Joe Fournier, and double down on those suggestions when quizzed.

“Who’s next? It could be [Tyron] Woodley, it could be Joe Fournier,” KSI said, before being pushed further about fighting the younger Paul. " Jake Paul ’s at the end of the year, we’re working on it,” he replied. “The contract we’re going back and forth already. He’s already putting in crazy demands and I’m like ‘nah nah nah, who do you think you are?’

“So, we’ve got to go back and forth so it’s going to take some time. In the meantime, I want to fight some people. It could be Tommy Fury. I’ve got to show everyone why I’m the GOAT [Greatest Of All Time]. I’ve got to show everyone why I came back to the YouTube boxing scene. To show everyone why I am the ultimate man in this scene, it’s as simple as that.”

It appears that the Danis fight was hastily organised when Logan Paul, his original opponent, pulled out of the fight on what would have been a double-headline show with another KSI bout. Woodley has claimed that he was sent a contract for the bout, and shared screenshots allegedly from said deal, but says that the YouTuber "ran" from a fight with him.

"Why would you offer me a fight vs you then bail?" Woodley asked in an Instagram post a few days before he announced his fight with Danis. "Why would you send me a contract to b**** out and take a lesser opponent? Why would you have my name in your mouth for two years and not step up? Why do a poll of 1million people, that all said fight me, and you run. KSI We need answers. Now y'all go troll the troll. Saturday he will announce he ran.”
