KSI explains why he didn't confront boxing rivals Jake Paul or Tommy Fury

KSI has explained he wanted to avoid a row with Jake Paul and Tommy Fury last weekend to ensure the spotlight remained on his brother Deji's fight with Floyd Mayweather.

YouTube star KSI - real name JJ Olatunji - flew out to Dubai to support his brother Deji who was stopped by the boxing legend in an exhibition bout. There was high anticipation for the event with KSI's bitter rival Paul also in attendance as a special guest commentator for Fury's event.

Fury took on Rolly Lambert in the co-main event, and the British star confronted Paul after his underwhelming performance. KSI opted to stay away from his potential ring rivals, with his only confrontation coming with Tyron Woodley, despite their fight now appearing dead in the water.

And KSI has revealed he wanted to cause a "madness" while ringside during the event, but restrained himself to walk to the ring with his brother. "All of these motherf****** in the building and I did f*** all," KSI said when explaining his role at the event during a video on his YouTube channel. "For me my goal was to make it all about Deji.

"I wanted to be Deji's night and I didn't want to steal the limelight. I could have easily not walked out with him and gone in and beefed with Jake Paul or Tommy Fury. I could have easily done a madness, it could have been crazy. But I didn't and I decided it is about Deji and to stay out of the way. Andrew Tate was there as well but yeah I wanted to make it all about Deji."

KSI walked to the ring with his brother who managed to give Mayweather a black eye before being stopped in routine fashion by the boxing legend in the sixth round. The significant confrontation of the night was between Paul and Fury, who screamed at each other from inside and outside of the ring in a bid to settle their differences.

Another preventing factor was that Mayweathe r refused to enter the arena until Paul had been removed from ringside, where he had previously taken up a position at the commentary desk. Paul appeared to snub KSI when naming his ideal fight after the event suggesting his rival does not sell pay-per-views.

“Yeah, someone told me that,” Paul responded when asked about a huge fight with KSI. “It defeats the purpose, but I’ve thought of that. But KSI doesn’t really sell pay-per-views on his own, he needs Logan Paul or Jake Paul to sell. He sells a lot of merchandise and Sidemen s*** but pay-per-view is different when someone is forking out sixty dollars.”
