KSI criticises pay-per-view price of his own fight against Dillon Danis

YouTube star KSI thinks the pay-per-view cost of his upcoming fight "makes no sense".

KSI looks to continue his unbeaten run in the ring against Bellator fighter Dillon Danis on January 14 at Wembley Arena in London. The Brit was one of the first content creators to crossover to boxing when he fought to a draw against Logan Paul in 2018, winning a split decision against him in their rematch the following year.

'The Nightmare' then took three years away from the ring to focus on his entertainment and music career but returned in August with a 'two fights in one night' event, both of which he won. KSI's fight with Danis will set UK fans back £11.99 whilst viewers in the US and Canada have to pay $39.99, something the Brit can't get his head around.

"This pricing makes no sense, why is the US and Canada 40 dollars but the UK is 12 pounds lmao? Who thought this was a good idea," KSI wrote about the pay-per-view cost difference in a now-deleted tweet. "I don't understand the logistics so I'll just stay in my lane but just think it's a bit mad lol."

Danis, the training partner of former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor, hasn't fought in over three years as frequent knee injuries have delayed his return. The jiu-jitsu star is unbeaten in two MMA fights but has never competed in boxing - and he was slammed by KSI for no-showing their press conference in London last week.

"Dillon not being here shows how little he really is, how small his mindset really is," KSI said. "He says I'm not a real fighter but I'm always here, always ready and he is a 'real fighter' but he has not made the plane trip to see me. He's not made even the zoom call to see me, he's terrified, petrified of me."

There is a concern as to whether Danis will pull out of his fight against KSI having not attended the press conference in London earlier this week, with 'boxing billionaire' Joe Fournier claiming he is ready to step up if the fight falls apart. Danis claimed he didn't make the trip over from New York to London because he was battling influenza, later tweeting to KSI: "F*** your press conference. The king does what he wants. January 14 I'm gonna dance on your head."
